We are huge fans of Stanley Kubrick here at firstposter.com, and not just because his posters have been consistently excellent sellers over the years (although that is a bonus). No, we actually appreciate his films as well ....... even though half the time we haven't got a clue what's going on. This makes each film a great topic for discussion. We have wasted hours of 'should be working' time analysing The Killing, 2001 : A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining and Eyes Wide Shut. Now with the release of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray versions of his films it looks like another period of Kubrick-Mania is upon us.
Of course, the internet is awash with Kubrick material. Here are just a few of the better resources that we know of : Coudal Partners 'Stuff about Stanley Kubrick' section has always been great, The Kubrick Site has a dizzying number of articles and essays, Five Things You Probably Didn't Notice in The Shining is quite interesting, and if you've got a spare £120 lying around then why not invest in the glorious Stanley Kurbrick Archives book, then loan it to us when you're finished with it!
